This is a loose "stitching-together" of two scans made of a 1937 Card & Gillespie photo of Firth Bros. staff. Sadly, the original photo had stuck to the glass inside the frame and was irretrievably damaged.
Several interesting things about this photo: the size of the workforce, their wonderful clothing and cars, and the fact that the photographer had to set up chairs in the middle of Hughson Street to accommodate all these people. Note the chalk marks on the pavement!
